Yorkshire Bloodline Intelligence is a predictive analytics consultancy for the UK and Irish thoroughbred industry, built for trainers, owners, breeders, pinhookers, and stud operations who make their buying and breeding decisions on data.
Our scoring system reads every lot in a catalogue against two decades of UK and Irish sales records linked to what those horses, and their families, went on to do on the track. It's built to find the horses the market has mispriced — not from the pedigree page alone, but from the racing record underneath it. A predictive model trained on outcomes, not a read of the catalogue.
Most tools in this space value a horse by averaging what similar pedigrees recently sold for. That produces the market's own consensus price — the very number a sharp buyer is trying to beat. A model built on auction prices can't tell you when the auction is wrong.
We start from the opposite end. Every score is built from what a horse's family actually did on the racecourse — the full sire line and the full tail of the dam line, every relative raced and unraced, generation on generation — set against what the market is asking. Where those two diverge is the signal.
That depends on something almost nobody has built: a complete, linked family record on both sides, carried all the way down — not truncated the moment the data gets hard. Pedigree-reading tools fall back to the sire line as soon as the dam side thins out. Our work is dam-weighted, with the female family completed to depth, because that's where much of the mispricing the market misses actually lives.
And a family is never static. We track the trajectory of both the dam line and the sire line over time — whether quality is climbing or quietly slipping — so a family on the way up, or a sire whose best years are behind him, shows in the score before it shows in the sale ring.
Every lot in a sale catalogue scored and tiered. Top lots ranked, reasoned, and flagged against your budget. Delivered before the sale.
Deep-dive report on a single lot. Dam family, nick quality, value signal, durability, distance profile — the decision on one page.
For breeders and stud farms. Stallion profile reports. Mating plans grounded in nick quality and dam-family compatibility, not pattern-matching.
For commercial operators. Foal-to-yearling and yearling-to-breeze-up target lists, resale economics, season reviews.
